After the resounding success of its debut edition, CyberSec India Expo returns to Mumbai on April 15-16, 2026, with a sharpened focus, an expanded agenda, and deeper international collaboration. Co-organised by Media Fusion and Germany’s Heise Medien, the platform has swiftly established itself as one of India’s most influential forums addressing digital security, data protection, and cyber resilience.

The 2025 edition brought together 3,400+ professionals, 65+ exhibitors, and 16 new-age startups, catalyzing collaboration and accelerating India’s digital security roadmap. It sparked critical dialogue, showcased emerging technologies, and facilitated public-private partnerships laying the groundwork for sustained progress in India’s cybersecurity landscape. The inaugural edition of the event was supported by key players like 63 SATS Cybertech, ManageEngine, Samay Info Solutions, Seceon, Forcepoint, and Netwrix.

The Need for CyberSec India Expo in Today’s India

With India ranking #2 globally in cyberattacks, and the cybersecurity market poised to exceed $3.5 billion by 2025 (IDC), the need for proactive digital defence has never been more urgent. A Gartner study forecasts a 16.4% rise in domestic security spending, fueled by AI deployment, regulatory pressure, and cloud-first strategies.

On the other hand, NASSCOM data reveals a 40% talent deficit in India’s cyber workforce. Simultaneously, security services are projected to grow 19% YoY as enterprises increasingly turn to MSSPs (Managed Security Services Providers) and consulting firms for incident response and compliance expertise underlining the need for scalable solutions and skilled professionals.

“India’s digital leap is not just a technological milestone, it’s a socio-economic transformation. But with this scale of connectivity comes a new generation of threats that demand more than just reactive measures. CyberSec India Expo 2026 will be the crucible where forward-thinking leadership, cutting-edge solutions, and talent ecosystems come together to define how India secures its digital destiny,” said Mr. Taher Patrawala, Managing Director, Media Fusion.

Attendees from the 2025 edition i.e; CISOs, DPOs, government officials, solution providers, and global experts recognized the event’s ability to fill a crucial gap in India’s cyber landscape by offering practical insights and real-time collaboration.

Building on insights shared by leaders from UIDAI, HDFC Life, Wipro, and the Ministry of Communications in the first edition, the upcoming edition will explore critical priorities such as hybrid warfare and national cyber strategy, the evolving landscape of cyber insurance and legal frameworks, workforce development to bridge the skill gap, and the security of critical infrastructure amid emerging technologies.

Returning to Mumbai in April 2026, the second edition promises broader international representation and increased participation from sectors such as defence tech, healthtech, and smart infrastructure. Early interest from leading global firms, including several Fortune 500 companies, signals strong traction ahead of the next edition.

“After the very successful launch of CyberSec India Expo this year we are thrilled to go the next step in 2026! Together with our Business Partner MediaFusion we will not only expand CyberSec India Expo in Mumbai but will also create and build a CyberSec Community for the Indian market,” says Mr. Jörg Mühle, Managing Director, heise conferences gmbh.

With cyber talent shortages looming large, CyberSec India Expo 2026 will spotlight workforce enablement, featuring masterclasses, certification tracks, and university alliances to shape the next generation of cyber professionals. New elements in 2026 edition include dedicated policy forums, live tech demos, invite-only roundtables, and unified exhibitor zones, offering a hands-on and high-level view of India’s security landscape. At a time when India’s digital ambitions struggle with real-world vulnerabilities, CyberSec India Expo 2026 will once again bring together the people, ideas, and innovations essential to securing the nation’s digital future.
