The Masterclass and Roundtable, completed in December, were part of the official series of pre-summit events leading to the India AI Impact Summit 2026, a landmark event that the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced at the France AI Action Summit. Scheduled to be held in February 2026 in New Delhi, the summit will be the first global AI Impact Summit hosted in the Global South, highlighting India’s growing leadership in establishing responsible and inclusive AI innovation for the world.

The two forums featured in-depth insights from Mr. Peter Panfil, distinguished engineer and vice president for global technical business development at Vertiv, focused on AI-ready power architectures and utility-independent design frameworks. “AI workloads are accelerating toward extreme high-density computing, and data centers must be prepared for power and cooling demands at the gigawatt scale.The adoption of liquid cooling, utility-independent architectures, and ‘bring your own power’ models will be essential to building resilient and environmentally responsibleAI infrastructure in India,” Panfil said.

Commenting on the successful conclusion of the events, Mr. Shrirang Deshpande, senior director strategy and new market development, Vertiv India said, “India is entering a defining era in its AI journey, and digital infrastructure readiness will determine how effectively the country can scale. Through the Masterclass and Roundtable, Vertiv facilitated critical conversations around the capabilities, standards, and technologies required to operate at GW-scale. These discussions lay a strong foundation as the regional industry moves toward the India AI Impact Summit 2026.”

The sessions presented a refreshed technology roadmap for India’s AI-ready data center ecosystem. Key themes explored include:

  • High-density AI power system design, focused on scalable architectures capable of supporting rapidly growing AI workloads while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability;
  • The evolution and adoption of liquid cooling technologies, which is critical to managing the heat generated by next-generation AI processors and maintaining energy-efficient operations;
  • Utility-independent and grid-resilient architectures, enabling data centers to operate seamlessly under power fluctuations or disruptions,
  • Readiness benchmarks for colocation and cloud providers, equipping them with the frameworks, standards, and design principles needed to scale AI operations safely and efficiently.

These discussions underscored to the attendees the need for resilient, energy-efficient, and future-ready critical digital infrastructure in India as it prepares for exponential AI growth. Vertiv is planning to participate in similar educational events and initiatives in 2026, in addition to leading and working with other local, regional, and global stakeholders on AI.
