CyberPowerPC India is expanding its focus within the education ecosystem, working with schools, colleges, universities and specialised institutes to help them build technology environments around the actual needs of their students and learning programmes. The company has already been working closely with institutions including Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, and Whistling Woods International, supporting their efforts to equip students with high-performance computing infrastructure for demanding creative and technology-led workflows.

The engagement marks a broader approach from CyberPowerPC India, which is looking to work with educational institutions from the technology planning stage rather than limiting its role to hardware procurement. The company first seeks to understand the learning modules being introduced, the applications students will use and the workloads they are expected to handle, and then recommends a technology setup aligned with those requirements.

For an institution introducing programmes around game development, animation, VFX, filmmaking, 3D design, AI or other computationally intensive disciplines, that could mean identifying where GPU-powered workstations are essential and where standard systems would be sufficient. In some environments, for instance, a lab could combine a high-performance GPU workstation with multiple standard PCs, creating a setup that is aligned to actual usage rather than applying the same configuration across every machine.

This approach is particularly relevant as schools and higher education institutions increasingly look beyond traditional computer labs. CyberPowerPC India is also engaging with K-12 institutions, organisations developing learning modules and Learning Management Systems (LMS), as well as companies providing broader learning solutions, with the aim of building technology ecosystems that bring hardware, software and learning requirements together.

“High-performance PCs have traditionally been associated with gaming, but the technology has a much broader role to play in education,” said Mr. Vishal Parekh, COO, CyberPowerPC India. “We are seeing institutions think more carefully about what they want their students to learn and the kind of environment they want to create. Our role is to understand those requirements and help them make informed decisions about the technology supporting them. If an institution wants to build a programme around game development, AI, VFX or 3D creation, the infrastructure needs to be designed around those ambitions. We want to be part of that conversation before the investment is made, not simply when it is time to purchase the hardware.”

Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, is expanding its academic offering around emerging technologies and creative skills, with a focus on preparing students for an increasingly technology-led world. Its programmes are designed to bring together creativity, technology and industry-oriented learning, reflecting the university’s ambition to develop talent capable of competing on a global stage and contributing to India’s growing creative and technology economy. As these disciplines become increasingly demanding from a computing perspective, the technology supporting the learning environment becomes an important part of that ambition.

Dr. Kusum Agarwal, Dean Academics, Karnavati University said,”At our University, we have always believed that delivering the best learning experience requires us to work with the best partners across every part of the ecosystem. Our focus is on giving students the environment and opportunities to excel, and that means being equally discerning about the technology that supports their learning. CyberPowerPC has established itself as a name synonymous with high-performance computing, and we trust their expertise to help us build the kind of technology infrastructure our students and programmes demand. We are confident that this partnership will give our students the performance, reliability and capabilities they need to turn their ideas into reality.”

Whistling Woods International builds its creative and media education curriculum on three core pillars: Creativity, Business Acumen, and Technical. As India’s premier institute for Film, Communication, and Creative Arts, the institute brings students into an environment where all the disciplines are encouraged to cross collaborate. This helps them grow, learn and network more, while ensuring their students get hands on learning experience and industry exposure. As the tools behind these disciplines continue to become more sophisticated, access to the right computing capabilities is becoming an important part of enabling students to experiment, create and translate their ideas into production-ready work.

Mr. Jaydev Dhakan, H.O.D., Game Design, Whistling Woods International said, “At Whistling Woods International, technology has always been an important enabler of the creative process. As India’s premier institute for Film, Communication, and Creative Arts, we have seen first-hand how rapidly the creative arts industry is evolving. Our association with CyberPowerPC to launch the game room at Whistling Woods International allows us to bring high-performance technology into the learning environment, giving students the computing capabilities to work with increasingly sophisticated creative applications and workflows. It is important that the technology available to students keeps pace with the ambitions of the creators we are nurturing.”

For institutions, this planning can be particularly important because technology investments are long-term decisions. Once a lab or specialised facility has been built around a particular hardware configuration, changing the setup can involve significant additional cost and disruption. CyberPowerPC India is therefore looking to provide greater pre and post purchase support around the finer aspects of hardware technology, helping institutions understand what they need today while considering how those systems can support evolving requirements.

The company sees this as especially important for institutions with ambitious learning goals. If the eventual objective is to give students the skills to create globally competitive AAA games, high-end visual effects, 3D experiences or AI-powered applications, the infrastructure supporting that learning needs to be capable of matching those ambitions.

At the same time, students are becoming increasingly aware of what technology can enable outside the classroom. Their exposure to sophisticated games, AI tools, digital content and immersive experiences is raising expectations around what they can learn and create. Educational institutions have an opportunity to channel that curiosity by giving students the right tools to explore their potential.

CyberPowerPC India is also looking to deepen partnerships with learning-solution providers and technology companies that can complement its high-performance computing capabilities. The objective is to help institutions approach technology planning holistically, bringing together the right hardware, learning platforms, software and expertise for their specific requirements.

The broader opportunity comes against the backdrop of a rapidly expanding digital entertainment and creative economy in India. According to Niko Partners’ latest India Player Behavior and Market Insights report, female gamers now account for 49% of India’s gaming audience, up from 43% in 2023. The report also found that non-battle-royale mobile games now account for 62.8% of mobile game revenue, compared with 53.2% in June 2023. The changing composition and preferences of India’s gaming audience point towards a wider ecosystem of opportunities across game development, design, storytelling, animation and interactive entertainment.

India’s AVGC sector is expected to create nearly 2 million jobs by 2030, increasing the importance of building an education ecosystem capable of preparing students for these emerging opportunities. For CyberPowerPC India, that preparation begins with helping institutions understand the technology requirements behind their ambitions and make those investments thoughtfully.

Through its work with Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, and its broader engagement with schools, colleges, specialised institutes and learning-solution providers, CyberPowerPC India is building an education-focused approach that goes beyond supplying PCs, helping institutions create technology environments where students can learn, experiment and build for the industries of tomorrow.
