Q. Tell us about your company

A: Syntel by Arvind, a part of Arvind Limited, is a future-proof solution provider with domain expertise in four fundamental verticals: Enterprise Communication (EC), Network Infrastructure (NI), Audio-Visual System Integration (AVSI), and Security & Surveillance (SS).

Our AVSI business has carved a niche for itself as a renowned market leader, benchmarks in innovation, performance, and customer satisfaction. We have over the years provided complete audio-visual solutions across diverse industries like Hospitality, BFSI, IT, Manufacturing, Education, and Healthcare, ensuring innovative and impactful returns to our customers.

In addition to a strong foothold across India, we have also successfully completed international projects in Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. All of our solutions are crafted and offered to international specifications, such as AVIXA certifications, which provide a fantastic customer experience by our side. Our staff includes very experienced designers and engineers who have an average of more than 13 years of domain expertise, which enables us to supply state-of-the-art, tailor-made AV solutions designed to match the specific demands of our clients.

Q. How is the Indian AV industry evolving? How is Syntel playing its role in its overall expansion?

A: The Indian AV industry is witnessing a speedy growth at present, which is propelled by the advancements in technology, digitalization, and the expanding use of AV solutions in numerous sectors. As of 2024, the Indian pro-AV hardware market is worth around USD 14.13 billion, positioning India as the third-largest pro-AV market in the Asia-Pacific region. The worldwide Pro AV market, worth USD 4.01 billion in 2023, is expected to reach USD 9.94 billion by 2031 at a CAGR of 12.00%. Syntel is playing a major role in this growth by utilizing its IT integration, cloud solutions, and digital transformation expertise. Our initiatives involve delivering integrated AV-IT solutions that integrate AV systems with IT infrastructure seamlessly, delivering tailored solutions for different industries like education, healthcare, and retail, and integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI, IoT, and automation for intelligent and scalable AV configurations.

Not only this, we are also strongly emphasizing skill development through systematic training programs, encouraging sustainability through green AV initiatives, and following international standards to provide competitive solutions. Through the integration of technology, innovation, and expertise, Syntel is taking a leading role in driving the modernization and growth of India’s AV industry.

Q. What are the challenges in the AV industry, and the ways to overcome the same?

A: The Indian AV market, though having the potential for growth, is comparatively unorganised as compared to developed markets and hence presents some challenges. It is very much fragmented with too many small and local vendors producing inconsistent quality and service. There is a strong need to educate customers regarding world standards and long-term value for quality solutions.

Another big issue in our nation is the lack of awareness of global standards such as AVIXA, which results in uneven designs, installations, and integrations. Promoting compliance with such standards will address this problem in an excellent way. The sector is also confronted with a big skills gap, as most technicians do not have formal training on contemporary AV technologies. Formal training and certification courses are needed to fill this gap.

Secondly, market price-driven dynamics frequently value cost above quality, and this can make it challenging for high-end providers to price their value-driven offerings. Creating awareness among end-users regarding the benefits of investing in good-quality AV solutions is critical for the long-term growth of our industry. Addressing all these issues head-on will make the Indian AV industry stronger and more globally competitive and drive long-term growth.

Q. What is the USPs of the company? What sets your company from others?

A: Our firm is unique in the AV sector because of our outstanding design skills, technical know-how, and dedication to quality. Our experienced design team is famous for designing scalable and affordable solutions that are specifically designed to meet the specific needs of our clients. We also have a very experienced and certified installation team that follows international standards, performing rigorous self-audits to guarantee perfect execution.

In addition to this, our in-house programming team uses state-of-the-art tools to implement precise and efficient on-site solutions. This holistic approach to service delivery has earned us the trust of our customers, many of whom remain with us due to our unmatched quality and reliability.

Q. Discuss the New Products and Solutions from Syntel by Arvind.  How the company’s innovations meet the needs of today’s customers?

A: Our innovative product portfolio consists of interactive displays, collaboration solutions, LED video walls, and projection mapping, each of which is designed to meet the changing needs of today’s consumers. Interactive displays provide an interactive, touch-based user interface for dynamic presentations, hybrid learning, and real-time collaboration, making them a perfect fit for contemporary workplaces and schools.

Unified collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms facilitate efficient communication and productivity in hybrid workspaces. High-resolution, scalable LED video walls are becoming widely used for retail, corporate environments, and public spaces applications.

Projection mapping offers immersive storytelling and brand interaction possibilities, and it is a revolutionary solution for entertainment, marketing, and education industries. These innovative solutions are the future of the AV industry and confirm our dedication to being at the forefront of technology.

Q. Provide an example of a high-profile or successful AV project conducted by Syntel by Arvind.

A: We have successfully executed a number of high-profile projects that demonstrate our expertise and dedication to quality. One of these projects is the SBI Gift City in Gandhinagar, a ₹12 Crore project undertaken in 60 days. With the tight schedule, we still ensured the highest quality standards, using cutting-edge audio and display technologies to design a world-class experience. Another interesting project is the JSW Chairman’s Board Room, where we renovated the existing boardroom to overcome the problems of poor video quality and subpar sound. The outcome was a fluid and professional space maximized for collaboration and video conferencing. Likewise, the JSW Corporate Training Centre in Navi Mumbai has cutting-edge technologies such as active speaker tracking and AVoIP, allowing effective broadcasting and participant participation. These jobs highlight our capacity to provide high-quality, customized AV systems that meet and exceed client needs.

Q. What are the trends in the AV Industry?

As noted above, the AV industry is witnessing incredible innovations that are transforming how people and companies engage with technology.

Trends like interactive displays, unified collaboration tools, LED video walls, and projection mapping are propelling innovation in the industry. Interactive displays boost user interaction with touch-based interfaces, making them perfect for hybrid learning and creative use. Converged collaboration solutions enable effortless communication in hybrid workspaces, enhancing productivity and team engagement. LED video walls, with their flexibility and high definition, are becoming the go-to solution for retail and large public spaces. Projection mapping, with its immersive visual narrative, is revolutionizing industries such as entertainment and marketing. These trends demonstrate the dynamic transformation of the AV industry and its ability to revolutionize communication and collaboration.
