Iron Mountain Data Centers has taken full ownership of its joint venture with Web Werks Data Centers India, expanding the full Iron Mountain Data Centers portfolio into India, one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
Web Werks is now known as Iron Mountain Data Centers.
Iron Mountain and Web Werks first set up a joint venture four years ago.
As things stand today, Iron Mountain’s data center portfolio in India offers 14 MW of capacity across six data centers strategically located in five key Indian markets: Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Noida. Iron Mountain is actively developing three new campus locations situated in Mumbai, Chennai, and Noida. These sites collectively have nearly 152 MW of potential capacity, significantly enhancing capacity and ability to serve the burgeoning digital and AI needs of customers across the country.
Rajesh Tapadia has taken over the day-to-day direction of the data center business in India as CEO. A hugely experienced veteran of the fast-expanding Indian hosting and colocation industry, Rajesh will work very closely with Arvind Subramanian, Managing Director of Iron Mountain in India.
