Cornea World, a leading name in display solutions in India, enhances communication and collaboration in education and business with innovative products, transforming classrooms into interactive and effective learning environments.
In an interaction with Smart Solutions World, Mr. Ankit Garg, Director of Cornea World, highlights their smart classroom solutions and commitment to Make in India manufacturing initiatives.
The Journey of Cornea
Cornea began its journey in 2016 with a focus on LED TVs in the display segment. Since then, the company has grown significantly, expanding its product range to include over 20 different offerings. Today, Cornea provides solutions across education, conferencing, and advertising, becoming a trusted name in the display solutions market.
Unique Smart Classroom Solutions
Cornea’s smart classroom solutions stand out due to their integrated approach. Instead of offering standalone hardware, the company provides a comprehensive package that includes an interactive flat panel, digital podium, student and teacher tracking cameras, educational content, Learning Management System (LMS), Document Management System (DMS), and more. By combining 10 to 15 different elements into a unified offering, Cornea simplifies the teaching process, setting itself apart from competitors who primarily focus on hardware.
Target Customers and Market Positioning
Cornea serves a wide range of customers, catering to both B2C and B2B segments, as well as the government sector. Its solutions are tailored for schools, colleges, and tuition centers, where smart gadgets have become essential for modern education. With a PAN India presence and offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, and Mumbai, Cornea has also established a robust partner network across major cities. To date, the company has served over 50,000 customers nationwide.
Partner Support and Training
Recognizing the importance of well-trained partners, Cornea provides a week-long comprehensive training program. This training equips partners with in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, ensuring they can effectively present and implement solutions. As partners often interact with educators and decision-makers, this training is critical to the successful deployment of Cornea’s offerings.
Commitment to Make in India
Initially reliant on imports, Cornea has shifted its focus toward local development and manufacturing in alignment with the Make in India initiative. With a factory in Ranjangaon, Pune, the company assembles and manufactures its products, sourcing 50-60 percent of components locally. Equipped with an SMT line and other facilities, Cornea is dedicated to creating globally competitive products that are proudly Indian-made.
Future Plans and Market Outlook
The demand for smart teaching solutions is projected to double in the next six months, and Cornea is scaling its local manufacturing capabilities to meet this surge. The company plans to produce key components, such as IC script boards and motherboards, in-house and aims to export its products globally. Competing with China—the largest supplier in this domain—requires further expansion of in-house manufacturing to achieve this vision.
Message to Partners and Supporters
Cornea deeply values the unwavering support of its partners and calls for collective efforts to promote Make in India products. Supporting Indian developers is crucial for the country’s growth, and Cornea remains committed to this cause. The company extends heartfelt gratitude to all its partners and supporters for believing in the brand and its mission.
